Jenny Prendergast started working in McInerney Solicitors in 1993. She attended NUIG where she studied English and Law, and then attended the University of London, where she obtained a Masters in Law, before qualifying as a solicitor in Ireland.
Jenny is an experienced practitioner in relation to all issues arising from relationship or marriage breakdown, such as maintenance, access, separation agreements, divorce, financial orders, and protective court orders relating to domestic violence. She attends District, Circuit and High Courts.
Family Law issues are often the most difficult and painful we encounter in legal practice. We understand the impact these issues have on you and your family, and while we will vigorously pursue your legal rights, we will do so with the utmost sensitivity to the needs of all those involved.
Jenny also advises and represents clients in litigation, and has successfully brought a number of medical and professional negligence cases.
Jenny also has an interest and professional background in conveyancing and property law issues.
Colin is a qualified barrister and solicitor. He commenced practice in 1999 and has represented clients at all court levels from the District court through to the High court. Colin has a wide range of professional interests and in particular thrives in the areas of litigation, Judicial Review and criminal defence work.
In that regard, Colin has been involved in various high profile litigation cases over the years and has successfully challenged various Ministerial decisions in the High Court by way of Judicial Review. He has a special interest in all aspects of personal injuries litigation (road traffic incidents, workplace accidents, public liability accidents) both in the High Court and Circuit Court, as well as other contentious court and Tribunal matters.
Colin has been appointed as a Part Time Member of the International Protection Appeals Tribunal and in that regard is a member of the International Association of Refugee Law Judges.
Colin is available to attend Garda stations and advise persons in custody. He has a keen interest in promoting access to justice and has participated in various pro bono projects over the years.
